Program Requirements

Students begin their programs with a core business curriculum that provides a sound foundation for later courses in both the MBA and MSITS. Students can satisfy the requirements for both degrees in a total of 66 credits. However, to accomplish this, students must choose courses carefully. Students should contact the academic adviser for the dual program as soon as possible to obtain an advising worksheet that describes the optimal selection of courses.

Many courses have prerequisites, and students should carefully review all requirements to ensure that they register only for courses for which they are eligible. The MSITS capstone course, 772.810, must be taken in a student's final term and after completion of all required courses. The MBA capstone course, 790.801, must be taken after all required MBA courses have been completed. It may be taken at the same time as one IT course.
Courses listed in the online course schedule are subject to cancellation prior to the start of the term. For the dual degree program, it is of critical importance for students to work with their academic advisers to ensure that courses are scheduled in a sequence that minimizes travel to other locations.

Curriculum

Required Courses (MBA): 12 courses (36 credits)
Required Courses (MSITS): 8 courses (21 credits)
