  3. What is considered in the admissions process?
We consider a wide range of factors when reviewing your application for admission, including prior academic achievements, quality of work and leadership experiences, a personal statement, two letters of recommendation, and, for some applicants, a personal interview. In addition, it is desirable for applicants to have at least two years of experience in the workplace - which could be in business, government, education or nonprofit organizations. Students who have less than two years work experience will be considered on an individual basis, providing that they can demonstrate the capacity for leadership and academic success.

  4. What happens after I submit my application?
Applications are reviewed on a continuous basis throughout the year. Please allow approximately four to six weeks for completion of the admissions process (from submission of a complete application packet to admissions decision). Applicants to cohort groups should check with their program for specific application deadlines. International Students should contact the Office of International Student Services External site; new browser will open for specific application deadlines. After admission materials are received, the Carey Business School reviews the application and makes all admission decisions.

  7. Do any programs require GMAT or GRE scores?
MBA and MBA/ITS applicants are generally required to submit GMAT or GRE scores that are no more than five years old. Waivers to this requirement may be granted to those holding a graduate degree (for example, master's, doctorate, MD, law degree) from a regionally accredited college or university, and to those with five or more years of progressively responsible professional working experience and a strong grade point average (preferably a 3.0 or higher). MSF applicants are expected to demonstrate strong quantitative skills through prior academic coursework or GMAT/GRE scores. The MSRE full-time program requires the GMAT, GRE, or LSAT. The Carey Business School GMAT code is KGB-B0-98, and the GRE code is 0834.
